Dave’s Carpet & Rug Cleaning Co. was founded in 1978 as a one man operation. Since acquiring the business in 1984, we have transformed the company into one of the largest and most respected cleaning companies on the North Shore.

Both factors are important, however the pad’s density is ultimately what determines the quality of the padding. Dense pads feel better and last longer, often extending the life of the carpet. Some pads will include a maintenance barrier which prevents dirt, spills or pet urine from collecting in the pad.
What is plush carpet?
Plush – Cut short pile carpet where the fibers have an even and smooth texture giving a more formal appearance. These carpets have a tendency to show footprints and traffic marks unless it has a very low dense pile.

What is dry clean carpet?
David Rankin has been maintaining carpets with the dry clean system for over 8 years. The dry clean system is used to encapsulate the soil from the carpet fibers and then extracted by vacuuming. Using this "green" product makes it safe for children, animals and the environment. The dry clean system is the recommended treatment for wool carpets, however, it also preserves the life of other synthetic carpet fibers when used routinely in a maintenance program.
